With the 2019-2020 school year starting Wednesday, August 21, remember that you can order items from other libraries within Ohio and have them delivered to your local Adams County Public Library branch. For example, if you need a specific book for a report that our library does not have, or need more books on a subject than we have on our self, we can place a hold on them for you and have them sent to us from another library. We will notify you by the method specified on your account (phone call, text message, and/or email) when your items arrive and you can come in to pick them up within seven business days. You can also order DVDs, Blu-rays, video games, and more! In addition, you can order your own items by using our online catalog, accessed through our website: adamscolibrary.org, or on our SEO Libraries app. With both, simply log in using your full library card number and your pin, which should be the last four digits of your phone number.
Congratulations to the lucky winners of North Adams Library’s Back to School Backpack Drawing! Lily Roessler (age 9), Johnnie Shumate (age 12), Ashley Shumate (age 9), and Alexis Marshall (age 8) each won a new backpack filled with school supplies to help them kick off the school year.
The start of the school year also means the return of North Adams Library’s After School Program! Starting Tuesday, August 27, elementary school kids, ages 5 through 12, are welcome to join Allison every Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. to make crafts, enjoy STEAM activities, and meet new friends.
If you haven’t been able to attend our August STEM Saturdays at Peebles, Manchester, or West Union, the last chance to tinker with electricity using Paper Circuits is Saturday, August 31 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the North Adams Library.
