Richard L Wigginton, 80 years, of Seaman, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2019, at his home, surrounded by close family.
Richard was born in Dayton, Ohio, on January 1, 1939, the son of the late Kenneth and Daisy (Sapp) Wigginton. After serving in the US Marine Corps, Richard worked as a jet engine mechanic at GE, until his retirement.
In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Stout; a daughter-in-law, Denise Stout; and a brother, Olan Wigginton.
Richard is survived by his wife, Edith (Butler) Wigginton, whom he married on June 26, 1967. Richard also leaves three sons, Richard Wigginton, of California; Scott (Mindi) Wigginton, of Seaman; and Bradley Stout, of Seaman; three daughters, Vicki (Jeff) Davis, of North Carolina; Sandra (Gene) Kutkuhn, also of North Carolina; and Sheryl (Jim) Heitkemper, of Cincinnati, as well as a daughter-in-law, Patty Stout, of Batavia. Richard’s passing will be mourned by his brother, Harlan Wigginton, of Dayton; and by his sister, Barbara Helterbrand, of Hillsboro; as well as his 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, August 31, 2019, at the Lewis-Sullivan Funeral Home, in Seaman, Ohio. The ceremony will be officiated by Dean Butler.
Family and friends may pay their respects prior to the funeral service, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM, Saturday, August 31, 2019, at the Lewis-Sullivan Funeral Home, Seaman, Ohio. Following cremation, Richard’s cremains will be buried at the Mt. Leigh Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Richard’s name to the Seaman Life Squad, 17955 State Route 247, Seaman, Ohio 45679.
