Charles Eugene Goodin, 80 years and 8 months passed away on December 14, 2020, at his home surrounded by his wife and children in Lynx, Ohio.
Charles was born on April 30, 1940 in Gilpin, Kentucky at home, to the late Harry D. and Therma (Wesley) Goodin. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers Jesse, Paul, George, Jim Goodin and one infant grandson Tyler Andrew Abbott.
Charles served in the United States Army from 1960-1966 in Germany and stateside.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Nina Jean Goodin. 7 daughters, Barbara Sue (Russell) Topps of Dayton, Jackie (Steve) Fierl of Blanchester, Sherry (Sunny) Patrick of West Union, Bobby Miller of Lynchburg, Jessica Jackson, Jenny (William) Abbott, Casey (Stanley) Malone all of West Union, Ohio. And 2 sons Scott (Jennifer) Goodin of Blanchester and Charles (Melissa) Goodin of Maysville, Kentucky. Charles has 18 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. 3 sisters, Carol Hall of Cincinnati, Gerry (Ron) Meyers of Cheviot and Ann (ED) Jankosai of New Richmond. 1 brother Dale (Terry) Goodin of Newtonsville, OH. Numerous nieces and nephews and great and great great nieces and nephews.
Charles was a member of the Shawnee Community Church for many years and gave his heart to the Lord the summer of 1994.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Noon at the Hamilton Cemetery with Roger Powell officiating, under the direction of the Thompson-Meeker Funeral Home with Military graveside services.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the King of Kings Radio Station.
