Local Republicans gathered last week for the official opening of the Republican Headquarters in Adams County. According to event organizers, over 50 people were on hand to cut the ribbon, enjoy food and strategize for the fall election.
The offices of local Republicans are once again being housed in the Office of Mary Jane Campbell, located at 307 North Market Street in West Union. The building is also occupied by retired Adams and Brown County Common Pleas Judge Danny R. Bubp.
“So many people have already stopped by to pick-up candidate signs and browse our merchandise for sale,” said Mary Jane Campbell. Campbell says that there is high-energy for the Republican ticket this fall locally. “So many people tell us they are going to vote a straight “R” ticket, but our candidates are still out there doing the work they need to do to convince voters why our candidates are the best choice,” said Campbell.
Hart Wallingford, the Executive Chair of the Adams County Republican Central Committee agreed. “I’m astounded at the level of energy that our side has.” “We are traveling to every part of Adams County – just like we did in the early 1980’s when I was first elected County Engineer. We are taking the campaigns directly to the people and I’m proud of our efforts.”
The Adams County Republican Headquarters will be open each business day until the election. If you have questions, please contact the Republican offices at 937-544-4131. Historically, local Democrats also have a location in West Union for their headquarters. The Informer will keep our readers up to date when we learn more information.
