James C. Griffith, 83, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at 3:15 in the morning at Anderson Mercy Hospital. He was born on June 1, 1936 to the late Lafe and Florence Griffith of Manchester, OH.
He is survivors include his wife, Wanda (Ruark) Griffith; 1 son, Richard Griffith (Angie) of West Union, OH; 2 daughters, Debbie Jarvis (Jimmy) of West Union, OH and Sabrina Griffith (Brian) of Sabina, Ohio. He leaves 5 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and 2 step-great-grandchildren. He also leaves two brothers, George of West Union, OH and Johnnie of Pax, WV.
James was a United States Army Veteran and an avid golfer and Bingo Player.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Bonnie Griffith; 2 children, James Arthur and Shana at birth; 4 brothers, Roy, Ray, Ralph, David and Gerald; 3 sisters, Kathy, Sandra and Mary.
James wishes were to be cremated. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Services are entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home in Manchester.
