Since its opening in 1973, Mineral Springs Lake Resort in Peebles has been a hidden haven for families to come and enjoy the sights and sounds of Adams County. As you drive down Mineral Springs Road and pull up into the main driveway to the Resort, one who had never been there would think what they are about to see is nearly impossible. However, the vision of William Smalley and the entire Smalley family through blood, sweat and tears have built one of the most beautiful sights in the region. Mineral Springs Lake is a 100 surface acre spring fed lake with over 5 miles of Pristine Shoreline. It also features 421 campsites and a 245 acre ATV Riding park.
Many memories have been made at the facility that the Smalley Family has dedicated their lives to and although a new era begins in February of 2020, the focus is still to continue the same values and memories that the Smalley’s have helped create for years to come. On February 13th, 2020 the property changed hands to new owner Tom Partin and will be managed by Allied Resorts. Allied Resorts is a Property Management company specializing in event venues including campgrounds. Allied has also acquired another historic Adams County property, Woodland Altars.
The management of Allied Resorts have many improvements and plans which will be outlined later in this press release but want to stress that much will remain the same for those who already know and love Mineral Springs Lake. According to the new ownership team, nothing that current campers are accustom to will be changing. In addition, Allied has plans to tie in the amenities at Woodland Altars such as Zip-Lines into the camping experience at Mineral Springs Lake. ATV Riding, Special Events, Cookouts, Reunions, Fishing and more will still be a vital part of the everyday life at the lake.
Allied Resorts does have a set of improvements that are planned to begin shortly after the changing of hands which will elevate the camping experience. The team at Allied have plans to begin the process of resurfacing many of the roads in the park to eliminate dust as well as add an ATV wash for those who enjoy the mud but would rather it stay off their campsite. Construction will also soon begin on a Walking/Biking/Golf Cart path around the perimeter of the lake for those who enjoy things a little slower paced. Some of the other additions include a Fitness Center, 20 Additional Pull Through Campsites, Upgrading 30 Amp Sites to 50 Amp electric service as well as additional playground items for the kids.
Any questions or concerns as well as booking or renewal inquires can contact 740-637-115. Hours will also be posted for those who wish to stop into the lake and pay for bookings or renewals in person.
