Shawnda Gay (Grooms) Campbell, age 40, of West Union, Ohio, formerly of Lynx, died Monday, November 25, 2019 at University of Cincinnati Medical Center. She was born February 21, 1979 in West Union.
Her parents are Charles Ray Grooms and the late Shelba Jane (Hayslip) Grooms. Shawna is survived by her husband: “J.C.” Jackie Cole Campbell of West Union; two sons: Landon Cole Campbell and “Chucky” Carry J. Hayslip Jr., both of West Union; two daughters: Nakita Ann Hayslip and Kilee Raye Campbell, both of West Union; one step-daughter, Rebecca L. Campbell of Maysville, Kentucky; father, “Bus” Charles Grooms; step-mother, Peggy Grooms of West Union; three brothers: “Jake” Jason Ray Grooms, Bradley G. Grooms, Brian Keith (Veronica) Grooms, all of West Union; one sister, Connie (David) Francis of West Union; one granddaughter, Elizabeth Jane Hayslip of West Union; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to Lafferty Funeral Home, Inc., P.O. Box 5, West Union, Ohio 45693. The visitation was Monday, December 2, 2019 from 12 until 2 pm at Lafferty Funeral Home in West Union. The funeral was Monday at 2 pm. Pastor Pete Francis officiated. The interment was at West Union Cemetery. Lafferty Funeral Home, Inc. of West Union is serving the family.
