Newly sworn-in Adams County Commissioner Jason Hayslip recently attended the County Commissioners Association of Ohio (CCAO) New Member Training Program in Columbus. The three-day event provided an in-depth overview of key topics essential for effective county governance.
Commissioners from across the state participated in sessions covering county budgeting, human resources, procurement and purchasing, ethics, public meetings, economic development, workforce strategies, human services, justice and public safety, and long-term strategic planning.
In addition to the educational sessions, commissioners had the chance to visit the Ohio Statehouse to connect with lawmakers and meet with members of Governor Mike DeWine’s cabinet at the CCAO office. These interactions provided further opportunities to discuss policies and initiatives that impact local communities.
Hayslip’s participation in the program marks an important step in his commitment to serving Adams County effectively, ensuring he is well-equipped to address the needs of residents and navigate the challenges of county government.
