State investigators are searching for those responsible for a fire that caused extensive damage to a vacant home in Adams County.
The fire broke out in the early morning hours of February 1 at a residence located in the 18000 block of Main Street. Flames spread through the back of the structure, which was unoccupied at the time. During the firefighting efforts, one firefighter sustained injuries.
Following an investigation, the Ohio Department of Commerce’s Division of State Fire Marshal ruled the fire as arson. Officials are now working to determine who may have been involved.
To aid in the investigation, the Blue Ribbon Arson Committee is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
