The holiday season kicks off in grand style this Saturday, November 30, with Christmas on the Courthouse Square. This cherished community tradition promises a festive evening filled with music, activities, and holiday cheer, brought to life by the Lions Clubs of Adams County.
The event will feature a performance by the Liberty Band, a dazzling parade, and the highly anticipated Christmas tree lighting. Adding to the charm, attendees can enjoy old-fashioned horse and carriage rides, offered by the West Union Lions Club and other generous sponsors.
Christmas Parade
Get your floats ready, tune up your bikes, and light up your vehicles for a chance to participate in this festive event! The festive Christmas parade procession that starts at 6 PM in West Union. No Pre Registration required. Line up begins at 5:30pm on North Cherry Street. Please remember, no personal Santas allowed – we have the real one bringing up the rear of the parade.
Entries wishing to pass out candy or other items: Please note this must be done by walkers in the parade and no item may be thrown from moving vehicles. This parade takes place after dark and this is for the safety of all involved.
Christmas Market
In conjunction with the tree lighting, the Adams County Chamber of Commerce will host the 3rd Annual Christmas Market from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The market will showcase 15-20 unique vendors, delicious food trucks, and a touch-a-fire-truck experience for kids.
