Mark your calendars for October 23, when the Adams-Clermont Solid Waste District (ACSWD) will host a Tire Disposal event exclusively for Adams County residents. The event will run from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. at the Adams County Waste and Recycling facility, located at 95 Trefz Road, just outside of West Union.
Established in 1990, the ACSWD is a two-county joint solid waste management district comprised of Adams County and Clermont County. It is one of 52 solid waste management districts in Ohio and is unique as the only district containing two non-contiguous counties, encompassing 1,046 square miles.
Residents can dispose of tires at the following fees: $1 per standard tire, $10 for heavy truck and semi tires, and $20 for tractor tires. Both on-rim and off-rim tires will be accepted. Each resident may bring up to 10 tires unless prior authorization is granted. Please note that auto dealers, repair shops, trucking companies, and junk haulers are not permitted to participate.
For more information or to request prior authorization, residents can contact the district at 513-732-7744.
