Adams County resident Crystal Harris has officially claimed the title of having the best apple pie in Ohio after winning 1st place at the Ohio State Fair in Columbus. Competing against top bakers from across the state, Crystal’s apple pie earned her the coveted blue ribbon in the Apple Pie division, which was the featured category at this year’s fair.
Crystal, a seasoned baker with 27 years of experience, has won numerous awards at county fairs and fall festivals for her cakes, pies, and cookies. This year, she decided to take her skills to the next level by entering the baking competition at the Ohio State Fair. Despite a challenging week for her family and facing terrible road traffic on the way to Columbus, Crystal’s determination paid off in a big way.
Not only did she take home 1st place for her apple pie, but she also won 1st place with her blueberry crumble pie and 3rd place with her peach crumble pie in the Single Crust Fruit Pie division. Crystal’s impressive performance in multiple categories solidifies her reputation as one of Ohio’s top bakers.
Now, with the honor of having the best apple pie in the state, Crystal can proudly add this prestigious achievement to her long list of baking accolades. Her dedication to her craft and her ability to deliver delicious and award-winning pies have made her a true standout in the world of competitive baking.
