A new chapter has begun for Snappy Tomato Pizza in West Union as Tammy Young takes the helm as the new owner. As of Monday, the beloved local pizzeria has officially transitioned ownership from Paul Brown to Young, marking a significant milestone in the restaurant’s history.
Tammy Young’s journey with Snappy Tomato Pizza began in February 1989, just a year after the store first opened its doors in March 1988. Initially starting as a driver, Young dedicated five years to delivering pizzas before transitioning to an inside role and eventually assuming management duties. Her commitment and passion for the business grew from the family-like environment cultivated by the previous owners. “The owners made it feel like family, which is why I stayed,” said Young in an interview on Monday. “Meeting new people and serving loyal customers has always been a highlight of the job.”
Paul Brown, the previous owner, decided to sell Snappy Tomato Pizza to focus on his other restaurant, Cruisers Diner, located in Seaman. “I wish Tammy nothing but the best,” said Brown, expressing his confidence in Young’s ability to lead the business.
