Leadership Adams extends a warm invitation to all residents and stakeholders of Adams County for the eighth annual “Adams County Day at the Capitol” on Wednesday, May 8, 2024. This event, in collaboration with local and state elected officials, promises to be a day of advocacy, dialogue, and community representation.
Held at the prestigious Vern Riffe Center from 9:15 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., the day’s agenda is packed with activities aimed at showcasing the unique attributes of Adams County while addressing critical issues facing the region. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with legislators and decision-makers to discuss matters of importance to the community.
“This event is a unique opportunity both at the individual level and for Adams County as a whole,” expressed Leadership Adams. “It’s a chance to highlight the positive work occurring in our communities and present it among those who can influence our continued growth.”
The day’s tentative agenda includes a warm welcome, engaging speakers, and a firsthand experience of government proceedings with attendance at a Senate session. Lunch will be provided, offering attendees the opportunity to network and discuss pertinent topics with fellow community members and officials.
Transportation to and from the event will be facilitated, with a meeting point at the Winchester Church of Christ in Christian Union at 6:30 a.m. The $49.95 reservation fee includes lunch, with optional transportation provided at no additional cost.
“We are Adams County, and we are open for business!” emphasized the organization echoing the sentiment conveyed during the inaugural visit in 2015. This event serves as a platform to reinforce this message, demonstrating the county’s readiness for growth and development.
Reservations can be made online and should be confirmed by May 7, 2024. For further information or to secure your spot, please reach out to Paul Worley directly at 937-544-5151 or via email at paul.worley@adamscountyoh.gov. If you would like to purchase tickets online, visit: leadershipadams.org
