Adams County Suicide Awareness and Prevention (ACSAP) is gearing up for a night of excitement and community support with their upcoming Quarter Raffle Fundraiser. Scheduled for April 20th, 2024, at Church 180 in Seaman, Ohio this event promises an evening filled with entertainment, friendship, and most importantly, a great cause.
Doors open at 5 PM, with the festivities kicking off promptly at 6 PM. ACSAP understands that for some, this might be their first foray into the world of quarter raffles. But worry not, as the emcee will guide attendees through the ins and outs of this thrilling fundraising activity.
A quarter raffle is a fundraising event where participants purchase numbered paddles (with corresponding numbered chips) for a chance to win prizes. All chips of purchased paddles goes into a hopper. Each paddle “bid” typically costs a quarter or a small amount, hence the name. Participants can choose to use all of their paddles or just one on an item. For each item bid on, chips are randomly drawn; the paddle holder whose chip is drawn wins the prize if they “bid” on the item. Participants can buy multiple paddles to increase their chances of winning. But if a chip is drawn and the paddle wasn’t used to bid, the participant loses that item to someone who did bid. Quarter raffles are popular at charity events and community gatherings, providing a fun way to raise money while offering participants the thrill of potentially winning prizes at a low cost of entry.
But it’s not just about the raffle. Attendees can also indulge their taste buds with food available for purchase. What’s more, every bite supports the Midwest Dream Center, adding an extra layer of generosity to the evening’s proceedings.
Now, let’s talk prizes. The anticipation is high as ACSAP has lifted the curtain early and revealed an impressive array of donations up for raffle. From Color Street products to gift certificates from Lotus Nails, and even massage gift certificates, there’s something for everyone. Whether you’re into home decor, puzzles, or crave a cozy night in with some Domino’s pizza, this event has it all.
However, the real highlight of the evening might just be the Raffle prize—a Kate Spade purse. One lucky winner will walk away with this coveted accessory, adding a touch of glamour to their wardrobe and a warm feeling in their heart knowing they’ve contributed to a vital cause.
But beyond the excitement and the prizes lies the true purpose of the event. ACSAP is a non-profit organization committed to raising awareness and preventing suicide, one life at a time. With initiatives like their annual walk and free admission to the event, ACSAP aims to reach as many people as possible, spreading awareness and providing support where it’s needed most.
So mark your calendars for April 20th and join ACSAP for a night of fun, philanthropy, and community spirit. Whether you’re a seasoned veteran of quarter raffles or a newcomer eager to learn, your presence and support will make a difference in the fight against suicide.
