A local man was arrested last week after he tried to flee from law enforcement in a stolen vehicle. According to authorities, Kaleb Apgar was driving the vehicle when cops tried to stop him on US Route 52 in Adams County. Apgar failed to stop and took State Route 247 to West Union.
Once Apgar arrived in West Union, police were able to forcibly stop the vehicle on Walnut Street at around 9:22 p.m. on Tuesday night. Upon the vehicle crashing into a utility pole on Walnut Street, Apgar fled the stolen vehicle and was apprehended a short time later and was taken to Adams County Regional Medical Center with minor injuries. He was booked in the Adams County Jail within hours where he remains after being charged with theft. Apgar also had passengers in the vehicle.
The incident was responded to by the Ohio State Highway Patrol along with Deputies from Adams County.
