This Saturday, April 22nd is National Drug Take Back Day. The event takes place twice per year to provide residents with a place to safely dispose of any old, unused, or outdated medication they have in their homes.
The Adams County Sheriff’s Department and the Coalition for a Drug Free Adams County will once again sponsor the event this year. This upcoming Saturday, bring your medications to the Tractor Supply (TSC) parking lot located on State Route 41 South in West Union.
“This is a great way to be environmentally friendly and dispose of your old, outdated medicines in a safe and responsible way,” said the coalition in a news release. Those planning to drop off medications can do so by remaining in their vehicle, drive thru and drop off the medication in special containers. “We are grateful to our local Sheriff’s Department for holding this annual event,” said the coalition.
In addition, the local Youth Led Coalition will be promoting being “Vape Free”. Anyone can dispose of their old vaping devices on this day too.
