A Seaman man died last week due to a car crash in Brown County. According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, 39-year-old Brian Heitman of Seaman was driving northeast on Martin Alexander Road at Tri-County Highway in Eagle Township, Brown County. Heitman failed to stop at a stop sign, ran off the right side of the road, hit a mailbox, struck a parked trailer, and then clipped a fence before the vehicle came to rest.
Heitman was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. He wasn’t wearing a safety belt. The passenger in the vehicle reported no injuries and also wasn’t wearing a seat belt. The crash remains under investigation.
