Authorities are reporting that an elderly couple is dead after an apparent murder/suicide in Oliver Township over the weekend. The Sheriff’s Department said that it happened early Saturday morning and a minor called 911.
The Adams County Sheriff’s Department and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation are investigating. According to the Sheriff’s Office, Kathleen Newkirk and John Newkirk, both 75 years old, were found dead at their home on Duffey Road.
This is the second murder/suicide in Adams County this fall.
