Former Adams County Deputy Brandon Asbury took the oath of office last week by Loveland Mayor Kathy Bailey. Asbury had been on the job in Loveland since December, however, his oath of office and introduction to the City Council was delayed due to COVID considerations.
Asbury began his career in 2012 at the Adams County Sheriff’s Office as a dispatcher and corrections officer. He graduated from the police academy in 2013 and was then promoted by Adams County Sheriff Kim Rogers to the road patrol division. Following that promotion, Asbury became involved in criminal patrol interdiction, the narcotics unit, and field training. Asbury also managed a traffic safety grant through the Ohio Traffic Safety Office.
Asbury had also spent time working at the Brown County Sheriff’s Department.
