2022 is off to a wintry start. We ended December with mild weather that was very unseasonably warm and started January close to our normal climate pattern. Now we are set to have our first measurable snowfall of the new year. The models have been all over the place this week but it looks like we are in a around an inch on average across the county with Northwest Adams County receiving less and Southeast Adams County receiving closer to 2″ of snow.
We are forecasted to have temperatures around 10 degrees F with the possibility of some single digits in areas. The wind will also play a factor overnight. The wind chill is expected to be around 0 degrees for most of the county.
Local school districts are dismissing early to avoid this snow systems as it moves into our area.
