Ohio State Highway Patrol Dispatcher Amanda Scales has been selected for the 2021 OhioState Highway Patrol Telecommunications Award at the Batavia Dispatch Center. The selection of Dispatcher Scales, 48, is in recognition of outstanding service as a dispatcher during 2021 at the Batavia Dispatch Center.
Dispatcher Scales is now in contention for the State Telecommunications Award.
Sworn officers and dispatchers chose Dispatcher Scales based on technical job knowledge and ability, enthusiastic work attitude, teamwork, and prompt and courteous response to the public’s requests for information and assistance.
Dispatcher Scales joined the Highway Patrol in 2018 and has served at the Batavia Dispatch Center throughout her career. Originally from Cincinnati, Dispatcher Scales is a 1991 graduate of New Richmond School and studied Criminal Justice at Cincinnati State University.
Dispatcher Scales resides in Winchester with her husband, Bill and seven daughters; Kiersten, Lexi, Maddie, Paige, Sierra, Mia, Cara.
