Congressman Tim Ryan, a Northeast Ohio Democrat who announced his candidacy for US Senate this spring visited Adams County last week. According to the campaign, Ryan made stops in Adams and Scioto County to talk about reinvesting into Southern Ohio and creating opportunities to ‘cut workers in on the deal’.
While in Adams County, Ryan met with local Democrats at Crusier’s Diner in Seaman and then headed to the GE Test Operation outside of Peebles. The stops were part of his “Workers First Tour” to hear from workers in every corner of the state about the challenges they are facing.
Ryan is the leading Democrat in the race for the US Senate. The Republican field is crowded, but features several prominent candidates. Those names include: Jane Timken, Josh Mandel, J.D. Vance, and Bernie Moreno.
The seat for US Senate is being vacated by retiring Senator Rob Portman.
