The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation is investigating an officer-involved shooting that took place over the weekend in eastern Adams County. The call was received from the Adams County Sheriff’s Department around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, requesting an investigation into the incident, according to Steve Irwin, a spokesman for the Ohio Attorney General. The incident occurred in the Lynx area of Tobe Lewis Road.
The Crime Scene and Special Investigation units responded to the request. According to authorities, the shooting occurred after a vehicle pursuit. One suspect was injured and transported to the hospital. As of press time on Sunday evening, the suspect’s condition was unknown.
Irwin said that none of the officers involved were injured. Two BCI units were present at the Adams County Sheriff’s Department on Saturday morning.
