Mabel Frances Palmer, 101 years of age departed this life on August 2, 2020. Mabel was born in, Brown County, Ohio January 14, 1919 to the late Ralph C. and Eva Murl Waldron. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Emery and one infant daughter Deborah. One sister Grace Sloan.
Mabel is survived by one sister Betty Mitchell and six special nieces and nephews Alex, Wesley, Shannon, Chad, Vickie and Johnny Jones. And many other nieces and nephews. Mabel worked for Lucky Stride Shoe Factory for 22 years until she and Emery, in the year of 1957 purchased the business of Palmers Grocery in Manchester, Ohio. They owned and operated together until his death. Mabel continued as sole operator until the business was closed September 6, 2008.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 6, 2020 at Noon at the Thompson-Meeker Funeral Home in West Union, Ohio with Johnny Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Manchester Cemetery.
