Hattie “JoAnn” Boldman, 78 years, of Otway, Ohio, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2020, at her residence. JoAnn was born in Font Hill, Kentucky, on February 26, 1942, the daughter of the late Lillian (Hart) and Omer Whittle. JoAnn found joy in caring for her home and family. She attended the Serpent Mound Mission.
JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by four sons, Brian (Karen) Boldman, Johnny (Carolyn) Boldman, Tim (Cassandra) Boldman, and Dallas Boldman, all of Wamsley; two daughters, Cheryl (Dennis Grooms) Rose, of Peebles; and Rhonda (LeeRoy) Palmer, of Manchester. JoAnn leaves behind a brother, Jim (Sally) Whittle, of Florida; and a sister, Janet Setty, of Peebles. JoAnn’s loss will be mourned by her four grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, a great-grandchild, and eleven step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family, at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, in Peebles, Ohio. The ceremony will be officiated by Tim Case. Burial will follow in the White Oak Cemetery. The family is grateful for all thoughts and prayers, but with social distancing in effect, requests that only family members attend the funeral service.
