A Winchester man has been sentenced to 10 to 15 years in prison after an Adams County Jury found him guilty of first-degree rape.
According to court documents, Michael Benge, 43 of Winchester was sentenced to 10 to 15 years in prison by Adams County Court of Common Pleas Judge Brett Spencer.
In August, Benge was initially charged with one count of kidnapping and two counts of rape. One count of rape was later dismissed. The jury found Benge not guilty of kidnapping.
Benge will serve 10 to 15 years in prison. Benge will have to register as a tier three sex offender, and pay $979.00 restitution to the County of Adams.
