Election Day, Tuesday, November 5, is right around the corner, and there are several races on the ballot in Adams County.
In the race for Adams County Ohio Valley School Board of Education, there are two candidates, Charlie Bess and Rick Davis. In the race for Manchester Local School District Board of Education, there are three candidates, Ashley Grooms, Joel Hanson, and Dave McFarland.
In Manchester, there is one candidate for mayor, Cody L. Wagner. For village council there is Christine Henderson and Lori McCartney. For Board of Public Affairs, there is James R. Bowman III and Daniel Ralston.
In Peebles, there is one candidate for mayor, Wanye Setty. For village council there is Tammy L. Crothers, Richard W. Hoop, Connie Kidder, and Norman L. Newman.
In Seaman, there are two candidates for mayor, David W. Hughes and David L. Wheeler. For village council, there is Sally Anderson and Trina Sparks.
In West Union, there are two candidates for mayor Jason Buda and Mary Jane Campbell. Campbell is a write-in candidate. For village council there are three candidates, Jason M. Francis, Harry B. McCarty, and John R. Lafferty. In addition, there is one candidate for village clerk, Tanya Sininger Johnson.
In Winchester, there is one candidate for mayor, Ken Shelton. For village council there is Barry Lung and Joyce A. Porter.

In the race for Liberty Township Trustee, there is one candidate Justin Ross. There is also only one candidate for fiscal officer, Erica Swearingen.
In the race for Manchester Township Trustee, there is one candidate, Philip D. Colvin. There is also one candidate for fiscal officer, Stephanie S. Morgan.
In the race for Meigs Township Trustee, there is one candidate, Joshua Lloyd. There is also one candidate for fiscal officer, Carla S. Wesley.
In the race for Monroe Township Trustee, there is one candidate, Brenda Emery. There is also one candidate for fiscal officer, Angela Wikoff.
In the race for Oliver Township Trustee, there are four candidates, Bradley Erwin, Eric Osman, Jeff Roades, and John Ruggles. There is only one caudate for fiscal officer, Debra A. Rigdon.
In the race for Scott Township Trustee, there are three candidates, Homer F. Holsted, Bob Jones, and Brock Pistole. There are two candidates for fiscal officers, Macy Staggs and Marla Young.
In the race for Spring Township, there are two candidates, Chuck Hayslip and Denver Phillips. For fiscal officer, there is only one candidate, David Dugan.
In the race for Tiffin Township Trustee, there are two candidates, Tim Chamblin and Caleb Grooms. For fiscal officer, there is Linda Louiso, Deedy Pistole, and David L. Vogler to choose from.
In the race for Wayne Township Trustee, there is only one candidate, Thomas Downing. For fiscal officer, there is Penny Tolle.
In the race for Winchester Township Trustee, there is only one candidate, Rick Hardin. For fiscal officer, there is Rae Jean Maddox.
Early voting hours include October 14th – 18th from 8 AM to 5 PM, October 21st – 25th from 8 AM to 5 PM, October 28th – November 1st from 8 AM to 7 PM, November 2nd from 8 AM to 4 PM, November 3rd from 1 PM to 5 PM, November 4th from 8 AM to 2 PM. No Absentee voting on election day.
