Richard D Newkirk, 59, of Stout, OH passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2019 at Saint Mary’s Hospital in Huntington, WV. Rick was born on January 3, 1960 in West Union, OH to the late Wilbur Newkirk and Lola (Polley) Jones of Stout, OH. He was a mason by trade and enjoyed being outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. His dog, Buck was the love of his life. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
In addition to his Mother, Rick is survived by a daughter, Heather Potts, 3 grandchildren, 2 brothers and 4 sisters: Leonard (Vicky) Newkirk of Peebles, Darlene Horsley, Diane Nibert, Daisy Bundy all of Stout, Lonnie Jones of Winchester, OH, Donna (Wes) Young of Seaman and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
The funeral service will be 2PM on Wednesday, October 9, at Wilson Home for Funerals with Pastor Danny Thompson officiating. Visitation will be from Noon until the time of the service. Burial will follow in the High Hill Cemetery.
