Gwen Perry Lane, 86, formerly of Manchester, Ohio died Monday, October 21, 2019 at the Adams County Manor. She was born in Adams County, Ohio to the late Gwynne and Loretta (O’Laughlin) Waldron.
Gwen was a former employee of Welded Wire and was a member of the Island Creek Church. Her family was her life. She loved her church and took pride in her flowers. Gwen loved her dog “Little Bit.” In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by 3 brothers, 3 sisters, her daughter: Donna Jean Perry, her grandson: Gasten Perry, and her son in law: John Abbitt. She is survived by 2 sons and 3 daughters: Glenda Abbitt of Manchester, Ohio, Trish (Bill) Shelton of Manchester, Ohio, Cathy Perry of Amelia, Ohio, Ronnie Perry of Manchester, Ohio and Terry Perry of Manchester, Ohio, 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild, and 1 brother and 1 sister; Judy Tumey of Williamsburg, Ohio and Ronnie (Connie) Waldron of Mainville, Ohio.
A Funeral for Gwen will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 24 at Wilson Home for Funerals. Burial will follow at the Manchester Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday at 12:00 p.m.until 2:00 p.m. Her family requests that memorials be made to the donor’s charity of choice.
