David Edward Campbell, Jr., age 81, of Manchester, Ohio died at his residence on August 30, 2019. He was born on August 25, 1938, in Greenfield, Ohio to the late David Edward Campbell and Ethel Vivian Smith.
When Dave first started working he mined copper in Arizona. Following that, he was a sales manager at Pennington and Butternut Bakeries. Then, Dave became self-employed and ran a portalet rental service and septic tank service, Manchester Lock and Storage / Motel, and a local restaurant. In 1990 Dave married the love of his life, Cheryl “Chris” Campbell and together the two shared almost thirty years of love and happiness.
Dave loved spending his free time outdoors and gardening. He also loved having morning coffee with friends and spending time with his family. Dave also had a close relationship with God.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Patricia Campbell. He is survived by his loving wife, Chris; his children, Jocelyn Campbell of Lake Waynoka, Ohio, Deborah Jackson of Hillsboro, Ohio, Jeff Campbell of Hillsboro, Ohio, Mike (Beth) Campbell of Leesburg, Ohio, Patrick (Tera) Campbell of Washington Court House, Ohio, Charles Campbell of Plain City, Ohio, and April (Marty) Logan of Manchester, Ohio; his nineteen grandchildren; his eleven great-grandchildren; his siblings, Tom (Janet) Campbell of Greenfield, Ohio, Bob (Ann) Campbell of Leesburg, Ohio, and Linda Howlett of Florida; his aunt and uncle, Maxine and Vernon Carson of Hillsboro, Ohio; his beloved dog, Pepper “Junior”; and many other nieces, nephews, and friends.
A funeral service for David will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, September 4 at Wilson Home for Funerals. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until the time of the service. Rev. Dale Little will officiate. Burial to take place at Manchester Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Dave’s name to Hospice of Hope (909 Kenton Station Dr, Maysville, KY 41056).
