Daisy Mae Powers, 67, of Manchester, Ohio died Friday, August 23 at the Hospice of Hope Care Center surrounded by family. She was born September 1, 1951 in Maysville, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Willard Kenneth and Martha Jane (Bradford) Kiskadden. Daisy was a factory worker and she also worked thirteen years at the Eagle’s and ten years at the Veteran’s Club both in Manchester. She was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary Post 325. Daisy was a hard worker and loved spending time with her family and swimming. In 2004, Daisy married Robert “Bob” Powers and together the two shared fifteen years of love and happiness.
Daisy was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Kenny, Jr.; and her aunt, Ramona Applegate. She is survived by her loving husband, Bob; her daughters, Denise (Brian) James of Stout and Nicole (Jeff) Sorrell of Maysville; her step-daughter, Brittany (Larry) Nichols of Oak Ridge, TN; her grandchildren, Brooke James, Zachary James, Larry Nichols, and Archer Nichols; her siblings, Kathy (Ronnie) Himes, Linda Polley, and Cliff Kiskadden; her sister-in-laws, Debbie (Mike) Jones and Pam (Charlie) Marshall; and many other family members and friends.
A celebration of life gathering for Daisy will be held at Wilson Home for Funerals on Friday, August 30 from 5:00
