Press Release – The Humane Society of Adams County is offering a Family Interactive Dog Obedience (FIDO) course to the public. Participants who live outside of Adams County are welcome. The course starts Monday, May 6. All classes will be held at the Adams County (Ohio) Fairground in West Union.
Open to all dogs ages 6 months and older, FIDO classes offer pet owners the chance to come away with a well-mannered family dog that can follow basic commands, (such as “Sit”, “Stay”, “Come”, and “Down”). This class is also the first step for your dog toward certification as a Canine Good Citizen, though you are not obligated to continue beyond this FIDO course. Cost is $80.00 per dog. All classes will be held at the Adams County Fairgrounds in the Merchant Hall building. The course lasts 7 weeks, and will meet every Monday for one hour from 5:30 pm until 6:30 pm, from Monday, May 6, 2019, through Monday, June 17, 2019. The first class, on Monday, May 6, is a mandatory Orientation and is for owners only, (no dogs).
All dogs must be vaccinated to participate. Classes will be taught by local resident Margie Morrison, who has over 25 years of dog training experience.
